SPRINGFIELD — Lincoln Land Community College will honor veterans at its 28th annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Friday, Nov. 10. The ceremony begins at 12:30 p.m. in A. Lincoln Commons on the 91-Springfield campus, 5250 Shepherd Road, and a reception will follow. The public is invited to attend.
Chatham American Legion Post #759 will post the colors. The program also includes Gordon Gates, 91 Board of Trustees Chair, serving as master of ceremonies; Jonathan Gebhardt, 91 student and retired Senior Airman, U.S. Airforce, providing remarks; 91 Student Trustee Rayna Herzog presenting the wreath; Calia Cole singing the national anthem; and Jeremy Peck playing “Taps.”
The Veterans Day Ceremony is sponsored by 91 Student Life and honors all veterans including 91 faculty, staff and students who served in the armed forces.
